In Hippie Rose, the now-classic rose and patchouli accord is tinged with reminiscences of the journeys undertaken by the Flower Children and spiritual seekers of every decade: patchouli takes us to India, incense draw us into Himalayan temples, vetiver grounds us in the earth. It is from this earth that the carefree Hippie Rose rises, as soft and warm as the Californian desert wind in its silken amber and musk wrapping, but with a hint of toughness conjured by its woody-incense accord.
